Roya Chadab is a McLean based artist who works in mixed media on canvas. Roya incorporates different textures to create dynamism and color to convey mood. She considers herself an abstract impressionist focusing on mostly landscapes. She has worked extensively with interior designers to produce custom paintings for various projects.
Roya graduated from Smith College in 1981 with a B.A. in Studio Art. She then moved to Paris and studied French civilization at the Sorbonne and French pastry at the Cordon Bleu. After moving back to the U.S. in 1985, Roya worked in a variety of businesses from tech to international consulting. She eventually founded her firm, EuroCommerce, L.L.C. importing, marketing and distributing specialty products from Europe. She has designed specialty products for multiple companies, such as Crate and Barrel, Sur La Table and Martha Stewart.
